Playing Bagpipe music on the Great Highland and Fireside Bagpipes

I am an experienced and well-known bagpiper in the Indiana area who plays bagpipe music for all types of
special occasions. I've played bagpipes in many situations including parades, weddings, funerals, corporate events,
TV appearances and recording studios. I use two types of bagpipes which give me flexibility to perform in both loud
and quieter environments. When choosing a Bagpiper, you need someone with the musical experience to help
make your special occasion that much more special!

Bagpipes are one of the more difficult musical instruments to play. There is more to playing the bagpipes than
simply playing the notes. To hear the "skirl" of the pipes, a piper must learn a number of subtle embellishments
that give the bagpies some of their unique sound. These embellishments require technical skill and take time to
learn to play properly. To play bagipe music well, a bagpiper must also learn to coordinate and control the airflow
of the bag in order to provide a constant tone and pitch. Finally, despite "popular" opinion, the bagpipes can be and
need to be tuned properly. Because bagpipe music is so unique, a lot of these points are often overlooked resulting
in people hearing sub-par bagpipe performances.
